1993 J-Spec - Complete Brake Rebuild Questions/Advice Needed

Good morning all,

I'm getting a constant rubbing noise from my NSF brakes at all speeds. When I jack the car up the spin the wheel it makes like a "hissing" sound. So far I have replaced the pads, removed and cleaned up and re-greased the pins. But this hasn't made a blind bit of difference and it's started to annoy me. So I decided right, lets do full calliper rebuilds on each wheel, surely only good will come from it.

Basically I am looking for parts and would like a few recommendations from people as to where they would find these parts.

I'll need:

  1. Braided brake lines
  2. New pins
  3. New seal kits for each calliper
  4. New pistons for each calliper
  5. Any additional items that are recommended

I plan to bleed all brakes and replace with new oil and at the same time check the master cylinder. If all goes to plan I'll write a comprehensive "how-to" to give something back to the community. So if someone could recommend places to get these parts I'd greatly appreciate it. Or maybe also provide a reason why the brakes are still making this noise.

While I'm on the subject, my calliper bolts (17mm ones) are looking a little, aged... Can I stroll into a Toyota dealer and pick some up? Only eBay doesn't seem to be much help. Its only found me brake lines and reseal kits but want input from the people that know this stuff.

Cheers.
