herbiemercman
my mk 4 na has always returned 20 mpg from new, in all driving modes, and it is a 5 speed manual box, any experience out there what the post na/t conversion will bring.? in mpg, not ragged back tyres and me having a stiff neck. herbiemercman. Josh42
IMHO if you're worried about fuel consumption, don't bother with a turbo conversion. My NA-T returns anything between 20mpg and 10mpg depending on how I drive it. On a decent run it still managed 28mpg

Someone asked me in my pub about the mpg and i said it would probably make little difference it's all on the way you drive it.
Abz
If it helps my NA6 used more fuel than my TT and speaking to others it seems to have been the case too! So possible on a decent run, but obviously on boost it will be a lot worse once NA-T
Rich.2211
Turbo'd my NA and it was literally no different on fuel consumption whatsoever.
DT125
you'll have to run it on super fuel not to damage your valves
herbiemercman
when i really think about it if i am giving the car the bifters when i get my na/t conv, and i am not being pushed by modern diesel snot boxes, then mpg would go out the window, however when i am in a more conservative mood , like many car owners, we like to know we are not throwing too many hard earned cash down the exhaust pipe. thanks for your replies.
