scottybennoch
Hi all My car is in need of an mot and im pritty confident it will pass everything but im just worried about the emissions!! I have a 1996 jspec tt auto which is fully decatted!! I have had a search and some people are saying because its a jap import it goes by a no cat test however i have seen some people say that it has to have a cat otherwise it is an instant fail.. I was wondering if someone could shed some light on this.. Thanks
safcdixon
Its na engined supras that dont need the cat test, tt's do most just refit the 2nd second cat, or find a friendly mot dude

safcdixon
Andrews passes with both the cats out lmao Mine did a few times in a row a couple years back, doubt it would now, it would probobly be condemned haha Im sure it should still be fitted regardless of whether it passes the actual test, it should still be in place for the mot

craig85
As yours is post 95 you will need to pass the default cat test. So you should fail on both the emissions and the cat being missing. It all depends on your tester though!
bebby
Scotty where about do you live because my brother does mine and his garage passes cars like ours with decats in
James
I don't get emissions tested due to the VVTi GTE engine not being on the database

Sounds like you have a sympathetic tester [emoji5]

bebby
Well if you ever need an emission friendly mot then they're a good place to go considering the owner has a vxr8 and 2 blokes that work there have r33s
