Diagnosing Boost Issues - Boost Leak Tester

Morning guys, I have another boost issue again  and its not in the usual place, without taking off every single hose to check it I am planning on using a Halfords tyre pump off the cig lighter, sticking a valve on the end of a blocked silicone hose and putting up the pressure. (inspired by youtube) My question is where on the engine bay is the most effective place to fit this? What needs blocking off etc?

I currently have a aftermarket induction kit and a FMIC on the stock twins, very similar to the below picture. I have the stock BOV fitted on mine.

Please help :)

This is pretty much how it will look like Matt... the other end goes into your intake but because the TT engine has VSVs and aload of other things I am a bit unsure if this is the correct way to do it, I dont want to pressurise something that may explode.

No mate, you can only test the Intercooler pipework. You need to remove the hose from the turbo to Intercooler, and block that, then remove the hose from Intercooler to throttle body, and block that. Then test this pipework.

If you apply pressure to the intake pipe, you'll blow all your air through the turbo, and out the exhaust.

If you try to pressurise the engine, you'll have valves open, which will blow your pressure through the exhaust manifold, and out of the exhaust.
