Guest XPS420
Hello, my car is making some noises, possibly turbo 1 has just gone? It's like a Tapping/rattly sound which increases with the rpm till about 1300 rpm then then quite a abit Almost sounds like a heat shield but can't find any loose heat shield really hope it's not turbo Also makes a sound like a duck instead of BOV noise. ( has factory recirc ) which leads me to believe it's turbo even more[emoji31][emoji31] Is there any quick way I can take off the intake of turbo 1 and see the compressor fins for play oil etc Car is a toyota aristo
gordy.r
Have you checked all your pipe work and connections? Is there any loss in boost at all? Can you read what boost levels are? (on a gauge)
Guest XPS420
I'm scared to put my foot down incase my compressor shaft snaps ( has happened before on an Audi to me) it is running BPU I checked the pipes and intercooler hoses but damn this heat, couldn't work in it so gave up for now. Will attempt when weather has cooled down abit. Also may I add this happened after getting it back from Bodyshop, (went in for wheel refurb and few panels needed spraying as colour was flaking up where wheels had been rubbing) anyway while I was still at body shop warming engine up. It was 9pm so had to get home.
