Rear wheel bearing play.

Hello.

I have a 96 tt6 and I fitted 2 new rear wheel bearings to try and remove the play I had but even with new bearings it's still there. It's definitely not the top arms or any other bushes.

Has anyone had the housing wear(upright) or the hub with the wheel studs on. Or a problem with the axel flange on the end of the drive shaft being to long and not clamping up on the bearing?

Is there any chance of me having the wrong drive shaft for my hub. My car has the big diff big/big shaft combination.

The bearings I took out when I changed them looked in very good condition and hadn't spun or anything.

Any help would be much appreciated.

Cheers Anthony.
