Sounds like we haven't heard much about what happened at this point, but some of the early reports are quite disturbing - especially since both attacks appear to have been planned for the same time.

Its OK, Cameron is about to speak about it, I am sure he will sort it out. :(

Also bombed a mosque in Kuwait, 4 people currently dead. :(

sounds like either involvement from ISIS or a nutters who have been influenced by them.

Very sad news and extremely worrying as this is no longer restricted to the desert (that no one seems to care about), its coming to our shores so hopefully appropriate action is taken to protect our civilisation

I'm against invading another country once again but how much more of this will have to happen?

ISIS is growing and needs to be stamped out :/

and now Islamic State 'kills 120 civilians' in Kobane

When the Assad regime was criticised by the West a few years ago, Assad said that Syria was constantly under attack and being taken over by "terrorists". The west dismissed those claims and insisted he was trying to justify seeing off any opposition to his regime regardless of the casualties. As evil as his regime (and by all accounts his father's before him) is, maybe we should have listened a bit harder before dismissing what he was saying. Now the west will never lose face by supporting him to oust Isis which in my opinion is about the only way to get rid of them, if not too late. They are there to stay and knocking at our doors from all sides.

Agree - you can apply that to a certain Saddam as well and even Gaddafi. These guys were the flavour of the 80s - they outlived their purpose and the powers to be are in a new phase of business creation.

Agree.

Been saying that for months.

Nothing will change aside from maybe a few more airstrikes.

Our leaders are too arrogant to stand up and admit they made a bad judgment call on Assad.

The noises coming out of Turkey over the last few years have been disturbing. By the sounds of it the ruling class are abandoning their proud history of relative liberalism is favour of ever further religious conservatism. :( And I have even heard from a few sources that IS forces cross the Turkish-Syrian border regularly and unchallenged.

Unfortunately it looks that way.

The turks hate the curds. The way the talk to them is like they are the bottom of the social class.

They don't want curds getting any more power and if they let isis attack Kobane and think IS will stop with Turkey? Ofcourse they won't they will come for them eventually.

With that in mind, is this racist?

Happens all the time, it's how they've been able to mount most of their attacks over the past few days let alone the past few months.

Sorry but coming from working within the public sector.

This is a glimpse of what could happen if you cut back the wrong departments. Unfortunately if you reduce numbers, some will slip through intelligence.

I hope there's an end to this madness.

It's probably his phone :D

It was my auto correct on my phone :D

Not the point of this thread anyway.

I wonder how many of these attacks have to happen until something is done.

I'm not sure I'm for military intervention but not sure what else can happen. We stood back during the yugoslav war with ethnic cleansing then for so long till the UN got involved. Will this be the same?
