Kendo11
Lee_e i will be moving back to bognor regis area unit will be bognor or chichester http://www.wrapitsussex.co.uk and nice hexis is good stuff just be ready to have a heart attack on the price on some of the hx3000 range - hx2000 is a good price though Hx2000 is extremely well priced mate. I'll be narrowing it down to about half a dozen over the next few days so will post them up for opinions!
Kendo11
Hi Ken, I wrapped my supra a few years ago .... Shane and others who have experience of this - how much did you go for in terms of quantity? I've measured about 6m, others have said 15m and yet another suggested 18m. That seems like way too much if I'm doing a single panel at a time? Measuring it over the weekend to get a proper idea.
Kendo11
Well anyway.... Project planning is moving on well. I helped a mate wrap his 350z on the weekend in the exact same product I'm getting. A pro was also on hand with lots of tips and guidance. In all honesty whilst it's obviously not a walk in the park it's also very straightforward. Patience is the most important tool for the job. I've also narrowed my choice down to one of six. I think it's going to be one of the blue ones.
Big Mark
How about this colour?
j_jza80
I would go with red personally, it's replacing white as the in colour.
Big Mark
Where did you get the sample book from? Edit: Just found them. Edited July 7, 2015 by Big Mark (see edit history)
Kendo11
I would go with red personally, it's replacing white as the in colour. I agree but then also could that mean it's going to become too common?
Kendo11
Where did you get the sample book from? Edit: Just found them. I like the purple you posted mate but maybe a bit too out there. As for the sample swatch, it costs £23 ish. When I'm done with this one I'll send it to you for a tenner if you want.
Big Mark
Do you have the HX30000 and HX20000 swatches?
Kendo11
Just the 20000 mate, the 300000 was about £35 if I remember rightly but I didn't bother with that one as it's all the very expensive flip paints etc
Big Mark
Where did you get them from at that price? I almost ordered both last night and they were £7.00 - 7.50 each. https://online.hexis.co.uk/cms/cms.jsp?menu_id=26398&category=all&description=swatch
Kendo11
Just pulled up my invoice, postage was about £9 I think plus I forgot I ordered a small squeegee too
little num
just had mine done professionally and everybody who see's it argues and says its sprayed as there is no imperfections at all. They look great done right, pay cheap and it will look shit. This silver supra I crashed so I had another silver supra in storage waiting for the build. But you can see what it used to look like before I changed the shell and had it wrapped.

Big Mark
They look great done right, pay cheap and it will look shit. I was chatting to the wrappers on the 3M stand at Goodwood F.O.S. and they said the same. You get what you pay for. It's when you get up close that you can really tell a cheap wrap job compared a proper one as it should be perfect as if it's been sprayed. Kendo11
Looks great num, looks like the same sort of quality as the one I helped do on the weekend. A good product makes a massive difference. I see that you've done the roof in a different colour to avoid doing the big part of the shell in a piece with a join. Good thinking.
