Seeing this thread pop back up just reminded me about another themesong I heard a few months ago.

I heard it on the radio when driving my parents to the airport.

Over the last week or so, UK classical radio station Classic FM has been announcing the winners for this year's Classic FM Hall of Fame, an annual countdown of the greatest works in classical music. Listeners voted for their favorite entries and the top 300 were selected for placement in the Hall of Fame. Matching up against centuries of renowned classical compositions, the music of The Legend of Zelda series was entered into the Hall of Fame, placing at number 84. - See more at: http://www.zeldainformer.com/news/zelda-series-places-on-classic-fms-2015-hall-of-fame-within-top-100-greates#sthash.yOxibsID.dpuf

I dare say that as those of us who grew up around the iconic 80's/90's consoles get older, more computer game sountracks will find their way in.

Very cool that a video game theme would be voted into the hall of fame. :)

Seeing the orchestra reminds me of John Williams conducting the London Orchestra on the iconic Superman: The Movie theme.

EPIC:

Another masterpiece:

Nostalgia as a big Superman fan.

Awesome!

Another gaming classic for me that will only get better with time imo :)

Looks like (sounds like) Hans Zimmer has created a masterpiece for the film Dunkirk.

'Oil' is absolutely amazing (somewhat underwhelming at First, but bear with It!)

And Supermarine is also brilliant.

If there was any doubt before, this has just cemented his position among the best for me (John Williams, James Horner, John Barry, Jerry Goldsmith et al)

Nolan and Zimmer will go down among the greats of Director/composer relationships, probably to the extent of Speilberg/ Lucas and Williams.
