Hi Guys, I am well down the road of going for a dr jekyll turbo conversion on my 42,000 miles n/a manual, my question is for any memebers who have had the conversion or anyone who knows somone who has had it, how different is the power delivery.? I am asking this is that the power delivery on my stock car is smooth and possitive, like driving a limo at 40 mph and free reving all the way up to the 130's etc, the only short comming is the lack of horse power, hence the turbo conversion, but how if at all would the conversion change the power delivery., smoothness etc. ? herbiemercman.

Obviously it`ll change the power delivery completely, like driving a limo acceleration until 4krevs then whooosh off down the road you go lol, are you doing brakes/suspension also etc.

thanks for comments guys, that is 100% what i want, the sort of smooth to drive etc, but lots of "balls out" power on tap. the suspension and brakes will be ok, not doing any racing, i did loads of racing on bikes, just want to hold my own with the modern day turbo diesels.

If you are still on J-spec brakes, it would be worth at least upgrading to the LS400 front calipers. Cheap upgrade with good results :)

hi j...jza80, will look at this, i recconed my brakes recently and are as good as my merc. however i will see if there are any issues, the needs of powerfull brakes i anticipate is where i push things hard with another petrol head who takes me on with bigger balls, lol, confidence and experience does not come with the turbo conversion and your confidence of high speed duals and knowing how to "read IT" at silly speeds takes time, you have more chance of surviveing than somone who just has to beat you, no matter what, if you can see things are getting silly, you have to let it go, it's not like straight line 0 to 60 stuff, most of us like to blow somone off, but the power of the motor is only part of it. i just want to know i have enough power to hold my own, enjoy it, not get done, and be safe. herbiemercman.
