Chris Wilson
How old is the GTR? Current shape, or an R34 or what? You just can't compare direct rail, high compression modern turbo engines with 1992 technology, it's ridiculous to consider they might perform similarly. An Audi TT 2 litre turbo engine from the last 5 years is so far in advance, drivability wise, from what existed previously in the 2 litre production market it is like chalk and cheese. A genuine 1000 BHP sub 3 litre engine, used in anger, has a life of a few hours tops. (I have yet to see a proper independent engine dyno print out of one of these mythical 1000 BHP engines, by the way....). A near stock 2JZ-GTE is good for 380,000 miles or more from personal experience.

Chris Wilson
Oh, OK, is there a spec list? 1000 BHP from even an RB30 is a hell of a lot, I would imagine the thing cost a fortune to build, just a suitable gearbox is mega money. I don't go on the Skyline forums much these days, as the older shape cars have dropped in value the readability of the posts there similarly deteriorated. It was like proof reading a foreign 8 year old's attempt at writing English most of the time
Guest calibrat
Turning into abit of a debate here I never surjest the 2je engine was poor, cause we all know Its not.. Chris Wilson
Is that one of Rod Bell's VVTi setups? They are a great addition, and relatively simple to do, I think it's possible without even lifting the head. Which gearbox is in it? I went with a Tractive sequential `box in my R33GTSt
