Rob_Mitchell
The colour is much darker tan in person, i have big ceiling lights in the loft and its hard to capture the true colour. I picked up some UK spec front seats ill prob have them retrimmed by a company in the leather that im using. I want to go along the lines of keeping it as much UK spec as possible, well have some parts haha.

Rob_Mitchell
A new tin of glue arrived at work today so I decided to make a start on one of the rear panels. Took bloody ages and was a right pain. Cut the holes out for the rollcage and fitted the carbon fibre speaker grill which I made. Don't look too shabby for my first attempt and I'm happy with the results.
ripped_fear
I think that my favourite part of your interior yet. Love where the stitching lines are, and the addition of the carbon speaker surrounds look great.

Pudsey
Looks great that. I especially like the way the stitch lines have flowed across the contours. Top job indeed.

ripped_fear
Thinking of having a go at some rear speaker covers like those, the more I look at them the more I love them.
Rob_Mitchell
They took me ages to do, about 5 coats of resin on them and especially drilling all the holes that was challenging.

The work has certainly paid off though. As soon as I have tackled my engine bay Im turning my attention to the interior some more. Have you found an engine yet? Thanks mate, just take your time on them as its easily rushed due to the long curing times of the resin

Thanks mate, just take your time on them as its easily rushed due to the long curing times of the resin Awesome SRD built again I take it? Yeah never done anything with carbon so would be another learning curve. Were you not tempted to just clear coat it a few times instead of using the resin? Rob_Mitchell
yes lee is helping assemble the engine and head. Ill keep the thread posted with the spec i have gone for nearer the time. clear coat will just soak up into the carbon fabric mate. Once all the stages of resin was complete i flatted back once more then clear coated at the end. Its very labour intensive and to be honest a pain in the arse but least i can say i done those bits myself.. im trying to do all the car myself but SRD will be heavily involved nearer the end just like they was with my previous build.
