scottybennoch
Hi all I was just wondering if anyone had tried one of these kits for a 2jz-ge http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/291395062611?nav=SEARCH Seems very cheap
Noz
It's cheap because it's just a manifold and a turbo. Really cheap. Worryingly cheap. If someone told you there was a 1 in 10 chance it would damage your engine. Would you take the risk?
Graham1984
It's amazing to me that someone could even be bothered to fabricate and sell that stuff, at that price.
scottybennoch
Haha i would never fit anything like this to my car i was just wondering if anyone had as i can't really see anyone risking it.
masterfett
If I had an old ge laying around I'd buy one just to see how long it lasted. That price is absurd.
berg
To me it looks no different to the cheap XS Power stuff which has been proven to work well on na-t's including my old one and many others on here Manifold looks identical
scottybennoch
I have to admit i am tempted to get one just to see the quality of how its made.
masterfett
Question you need to ask. When / if it all goes wrong and you knacker your engine.. Can you afford to replace it. If you can go for it, but if you could afford it why not spend the extra on a reputable kit and save yourself the hassel
Tommyd16
Good enough price to just to buy it for the mani and gaskets and bin or flog the turbo back on eBay. It's from China where xs power get all their kit and as mentioned above the xs power kit is really good on na-t's. On xs power website a entire na-t can be bought for about £800-900 and that's everything minus Ecu
scottybennoch
I do see what you mean! Tbh i have no intention of going na-t i will be going for tt conversion so i dnt need my engine tbh but seems a waste of a perfextly good low miles engine if it goes BANG! Noz
It's not even worth it. It's really not. XS power stuff really was proven to have a better pot-luck throw of the dice. Unbranded cheap knock off stuff really isn't worth the risk. Why would you bother spending all that money on a supra to buy civic priced parts anyway. Even XS turbo stuff was more expensive. Prevention is better and cheaper than cure. Buy a cheap manifold if you must, but don't buy a penny cheap turbo.
tony tt
I'd love to see that on the dyno.
