krisgowing
Whichever owner put the double din head unit managed to butcher fitting it Looks like they've cut it with a stanley knife it's not even cut neatly. It's just got a JVC one in at the moment but I've seen some really nice one's on some supras that sit it and don't stick out at all. I'll pop a picture up on my lunch of the state it in, I'm hoping I can neaten it up and don't have to get a whole new center console. May have to pop into my ICE specialist see his opinion Saturday morning.
Frank Bullitt
Are you looking to replace it with another double din or a single din unit?
krisgowing
Are you looking to replace it with another double din or a single din unit? Another Double Din. It's been cut away to fit one in so it's probably the only option. I'll pop a picture on when I'm on my lunch to show it.

Just depends if i can rectify where mine has been cut with a shiv by the look at it.
krisgowing
It's been cut so badly i cant get the case around the edge to clip in so i have to blue tac it on hence the bits on the top but as you can see where it's been cut by a toddler.. Rectifiable?
j_jza80
Sorry mate, that is junk. The only possible quick fix I can think of is some JVC double DIN units used to come with a 10mm deep trim, that may work. Otherwise it's a new dash panel. What I thought :/ Gonna take it to my ICE specialist to see if he has any ideas. I don't have a clue what they used to get this or what they was thinking. It just looks nasty without the edging case on it.
Tommyd16
I had the same on my last supra when I bought it. They do it when fitting a single din stereo that flips or moves open to put CDs in I think. Virus is breaking a supra at the minute so you maybe able to a dash panel from him or give keron a bell

Yeah just the paintwork and wheels need attention first. All part of the fun and ride of fixing it all up i guess.
Tommyd16
If you find something like this http://pages.ebay.com/link/?nav=item.view&alt=web&id=271152114327&globalID=EBAY-GB And superglue it to the dash panel will hide all the cutting for now. That's what I did originally before getting new panels and retrimmed

Ric
a new dash panel is probably only 30quid from Keron, replace it. Mount it properly so it doesn't need cutting at all.
