Dnk
It's a sealed bearing so not a problem with the copper grease but it shouldn't need bedding in

chazuk
Did you separate the two half's of the prop ?
David P
Rebuilding a diff is a specialised skill, if it hasn't been shimmed correctly that could be your problem.
Jellybean
Did you separate the two half's of the prop ? ? As in have the prop the wrong way round? The centre bearing joints the prop together

Ran her on the ramp and had a screw driver up against her , sounded fine Maybe the carbonetic diff is just not oem quiet , or maybe it would benefit from a better oil than motul pa90

Jellybean
Recommended oil here. http://www.nolimitmotorsport.com/carbonetic/ Thanks David , I was going to run the motul 75w140 https://carbonetic.wordpress.com/tech-support/ They have changed their website, but I did see on the their the motul pa90 and Paul ran it in the time Attack supra with the same diff I am just a bit hesitant as its 56 pound versus 20 pound for the motul pa90 I did get the expensive stuff before and made no difference but then again the diff needed a rebuild and it just sounds more like chatter to me but you can hit the sweet spot with her at a certain Rev and no acceleration, she sounds smooth It's hard to gauge igf this is normal , it's not s common diff people install But thanks for the help, the expensive oil will be the cheaper option DriveBrand Nameproducts nameViscosity FRBPX9140S80W-140 FFBPX9118S75W-90 FR/FFNUTECUW7675W-140 FFADVANTAG NEOHi proof shock FRADVANTAG NEORHD75W-90 FR/MRA.S.H250R85W-140 FF/FRTOTALPRO-R75W-
chazuk
? As in have the prop the wrong way round? The centre bearing joints the prop together No the prop pulls apart in two front and rear if you separated it don't forget you will need to get it rebalanced
Chris Wilson
The UJ's on the front and rear halves need to be in phase. You DID mark them before pulling them apart.... ?
Jellybean
Thanks Chris , I don't know if he did, will ask him If it was not, what's my options but I bet you hit the nail on the head If they are out of balance is it dangerous?

David P
Here's a compilation of props, the one at he top is an N/A prop, these have the slip yoke at the front and the centre is fixed in same configuration as T.T. prop. Your prop sections should be assembled to the same configuration

David P
Welcome. I don't understand why that should be so, it's an open group? Here's a better pic that's in the Transmission Group here with info. http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/group.php?discussionid=132&do=discuss I found and linked a copy from my album which should work in open forum, this is the same as your prop and shows how they go together. pedrosixfour
Well if you find you need to re-phase the driveshaft and it is still vibrating don't forget to turn one half exactly 180° and try it again.
