Is there anybody on the forum that knows where I could get some custom vinyl cut to match the centre caps below? I'm restoring them for a friend and trying to get them to look as original as possible. I can find loads of metal effect vinyl on eBay, but ideally I'm after one with the 'circular' pattern which you can sort of make out beneath the corrosion in the picture. Any ideas?

Cheers!

I could cover them in brushed ally effect vinyl and replicate the GT in red vinyl and apply it over the top for you if that helps.

Personally, if they were mine, I would have them buffed, then have the GT reversed out of vinyl so you can use it as a stencil for red paint.

Trouble is I have 3 like this and 1 that's simply the pattern design. I'm awaiting a dremel bit to adjust it to match the others in style.

When you say brushed ally effect, would it be brushed in the circular pattern, or plain brushed?

The plan was to do the centre section with the metal vinyl, then overlay the GT text in red vinyl before laquering.

The brushed effect comes off the roll in one direction. Overlaying the GT in red vinyl then lacquering should work just fine mate.

Yeah, sucks that I can't find the stuff they originally used - might have to make do with the brushed effect!
