Lee_e
As title says. Has anyone ever made one or know of anyone that sells them ? I've never seen it been done before , is it possible to get a rubber bung in there ?
Style
I'm sure I read somewhere that if you found out the size, somewhere like B&Q would do a pretty basic rubber one.
Kendo11
I've usually just seen people weld a small metal plate on the underside, and then fill in the top side. The problem with a grommet/blanking plug is that it's at a funny angle on the wing I'd say. Might not sit right.
Lee_e
That's what I was thinking with regards to the angle of the hole etc. I'm sure a rubber plug and some sealant would make it sit right Now just to find the dimensions for the hole
binfieldx
Don't plug it...Get it smoothed, it does indeed sit at a weird angle and can seep water
Lee_e
I'd rather not get it sealed. I will just have to make do with it being there then ..
binfieldx
Why not? I've got mine smoothed, I think it looks much better. I've then got a slimline aerial running across top of windowscreen so you still have radio

berg
Theres loads on ebay, the plastic cap type which has a plastic nut on the back, add a bit of sealant between and it wont leak i used one on my old supra for nearly a year I have one to go on my current one now You can get the rubber grommets but someone can easily push it in
Noz
Sorry I forgot to mention, I provide a fitting service too.
Lee_e
How hard is it to fit Noz? Surely it's just remove sock antenna then slip in blank plug? Berg: I think your thinking of the rear wiper delete bungs . The antenna hole is angled and curved so it's harder to fill with a standard rubber/ plastic bung. Rich Lewis
I have a load of these to sell. I'll be back in the UK in 2 weeks, I'll post a photo later on tonight if you like. Noz, do you have any of these left? My stock aerial just popped out the top so I had to remove it, I have the hole covered by insulating tape at the moment but looks rubbish. Regards, Rich
Noz
Sold out. But I'm sure you could make your own, or use a cheap plastic bung (which look's utter bollocks). Sadly, unless I start making these myself I can't see me getting anymore. And you can't import them anymore either as my supplier stopped using PayPal.
