So as far as I am aware it's sequential but I can see a hose on mine looped and the two on yours are not makes me wonder pretty easy to tell. if first turbo comes on first at about 1800rpm then you get second turbo at 4000, you are seq. if no boost till 3500/4000rpm sequential. but doesn't look 100% right to me.. pretty sure my pipework doesn't look like that. masterfett Posted June 11, 2015 Share Posted June 11, 2015 i assume if you have a boost controller you also have a boost gauge? so you will see if you are in positive boost before 4000 rpm... if not well you probably should get one in order to monitor what the boost is doing.. however you will hear the first turbo come on at 1800 revs, mine whistle like hell.. if you cant hear your turbo before 4000rpm i would say its either in TTC mode or something is wrong. i will have a look at my pipework tomorrow and see if i can help you out a bit further. Having said that: The two uncapped pipes at the back of the engine are technically okay if you've got a boost controller plumbed in properly, they are a return-to-intake channel for the EBV VSV (which is now directly plumbed into the intake) and the wastegate VSV (which I assume is no longer used due to boost controller). The uncapped metal pipe at the front of the engine is the other end of the wastegate VSV connection so again, not really a problem. The uncapped metal pipe under the intake manifold is the stock fuel return from the stock FPR, which you don't have, so that is also technically okay. I say technically as I can't really see a reason why you'd need the aftermarket FPR that you have as it can only cause problems rather than improvements For example, if it's set to the wrong static pressure or it's a ghastly rising rate jobber - both of those might give you a high boost misfire by cocking up the fuelling. The only query I have is where the tee'd off hose from the BOV goes. Probably to a boost gauge or something? K22SUP Posted June 12, 2015 Author Share Posted June 12, 2015 Hi Ian thanks I have had a look basically as far as I can see hopefully beginning to understand we block off egcv and the waste hate actually sends vacuum to egvb hence pipes been like that I have changed manifold pipe egvb return pressure from waste gate so I am getting a better understanding are these valves electronically switched by ecu ? Or does egvb work from vacuum from waste gate actuator ? So we don't use it anyway with boost controller ? Also as far as I read it should be one on end of actuator capped and boost controller plumbed into top and turbo mines is not or do both ports on actuator do the same Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
