Ian C
http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/uk-england-london-33079776 I dismissed this as another scamming scumbag who's making money out of putting babies and children at risk, then I saw the caption on the photo "A photograph on Mr Edwards' website suggests he has strong links with Jim Humble, founder of the Genesis II Church " and thought, "Where have I heard of MMS and Jim Humble before?" Then I remembered your sig, Jazz1: "MMS Jim Humble=CURES!" You're drinking (or possibly taking anally) bleach. It cures nothing. The end. -Ian

Scott
I seriously do not have the energy to start a debate or explain my reason, I have other concerns in my life right now like being heart Brocken . I was only curious if you thought the Earth was flat. Some people genuinely believe that to be so. Some people believe the moon is made of cheese, Wallace and Grommit being co-conspirators in that train of thought. I tend only to believe in things I can justifiably argue based on fact, hence why I do not believe the Earth is flat, nor is the moon made of cheese. The moon being made of cheese I cannot substantiate though, the Earth being flat I can. If the entire world woke up tomorrow with amnesia I am confident that in a very short space of time I could convince the reasonable among them of that fact. My point is, that I could convince the illogical variety of whatever I chose, for any reason that I chose...... as long as I sounded like I knew what I was talking about. For instance, do you know that there's a creature called John who likes to smell your breath while you sleep? As soon as you wake up he vanishes. Unfortunately he has picked up on recording devices of the modern age so there is no way of capturing his form for further review. BTW, it's only you he tends to....... everyone else on the planet is left in peace.

Scott
How do you justifiably argue that the world is not flat? There are a few methods, most very straight forward. One of the easiest ones is the shadow of the earth on the moon, ever noticed that it's round no matter where it is viewed from? Not many shapes do that You could send up a cheap rocket with a go-pro & chute if you wanted to have some fun. There's gravity, the horizon, the stick method (one of my faviourites, it was used to measure the circumference of the earth to within metres YEARS ago). I had to google his name as I couldn't remember it but I've never forgotten the story...... https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Eratosthenes If all of the above didn't prove the earth was round along with all the various documentations, videos, guides, etc available then I would suggest that the non-believers weren't reasonable. IM not disagreeing, but how do you prove it to yourself? All that proof is what others have done.... can you really trust "documentaries" on state run TV

Scott
But would it take off if it was on a giant treadmill? Remember I work for Rolls-Royce, I don't care what it is........ if it's got a jet engine attached to it, it'll take off

You would have to get up to speeds to get a giant sphere to take off. The runway would need to be massive. Good job the world is flat to fit it on. H.
