Dnk
Looking for some decent speakers for a desktop pc Any suggestions, pc world has these that i've just seen http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/computer-accessories/pc-speakers/harman-kardon-soundsticks-iii-2-1-pc-speakers-clear-08843639-pdt.html http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/computer-accessories/pc-speakers/creative-gigaworks-t40-series-ii-2-0-pc-speakers-01992098-pdt.html
Martin J
The H/K ones are pretty good (if a little oddly designed, imo) - but they're quite regularly cheaper than that. I've seen them as low as £69 fairly recently (2 months ago) at Tesco, Amazon and John Lewis. Admittedly not much help to you now if you're wanting them sharp-ish You can usually test out a decent range of them if you go into a Currys/PC World. Come home then and find them a bit cheaper online.
Dnk
Can't see any much better deals on the HK ones, all pretty much £99 These Bose look quite good at £90 http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/computer-accessories/pc-speakers/bose-companion-2-series-iii-2-0-pc-speakers-21445485-pdt.html
pjavon
I've got an older version of the bose companion 3 series dunk and there very good. A bit more money than your looking at though. I guess it depends how much your going to use them

Thorin
Logitech make some great speakers, after a bit of research I think I'm going to pick up these http://www.pcworld.co.uk/gbuk/computing-accessories/computer-accessories/pc-speakers/logitech-z523-2-1-pc-speakers-black-03065139-pdt.html
Dnk
Not a fan off headphones and very happy with the quality of the Creative ones that I went for, the HK look seriously awful so crossed those off the list as soon as I saw them.
