Graham1984
I just randomly booked some flights to the Isle of Man for the TT next week. I'm going to be staying in Douglas but wondered if anyone who has been there has any tips for places to go drinking. My mates are leaving on Saturday near midnight, but due to booking late and flight costs I'm sticking around till Monday. Basically I'm hoping some people can suggest some places I can go and get pissed, seeing as I'll be on my own

I was in Prague last week- will be odd having a beer without strippers for a change. There are still flights with a crappy company called Flybe- flying out of Bournemouth and into Standsted on the way back. Southampton has outbound flights too. Hitbox Junkie
I'm sure you will find a strip joint there for comfort
johnny g
Was there the other week with the GTR boys. Epic, epic time. Not a great deal to do though, other than blasting around the roads! Some nice restaurants and bars, but it's a bit of a Blackpool vibe.

johnny g
Questionable women and dodgy pubs ? We never saw many fit women there at all, to be honest. Like most sea-side towns, the bars were questionable!

There's a special aroma only found in those bars it's a unique selling point
Graham1984
There's a special aroma only found in those bars it's a unique selling point I was Googling drinking there and came across a place called 'Quids in'...... you pay a pound to get in and shots/beer etc is a quid..... go for a smoke and come back... quid. Might be amusing for the first few drinks before the Weatherspoons effect kicks in. I'm actually looking forward to going. The guy I work with might be coming along if on the 1% chance we can hire a sports bike whilst there. Due to the influx of people I've got accommodation sorted for the two days after the other group leave.... might be homeless for the first two though
tony tt
Bushys beer tent down the sea front next to the ferry terminal and there's some good pubs along the front too. Also a vodka bar if I remember rightly. Cracking atmosphere too.

We went to Jaks, The Creek and some other place. Can't for the life of me remember, but despite not remembering the name, it was great. It'll come to me. I come across Jaks too which looks alright- will just play it by ear on the day no doubt.

Graham1984
Best race on earth. Fact! Did you manage a blast over the mountain road? Yeah we got one full mountain blast in on Thursday with me on the back of my mates R6. Was more fun seeing as I had about 8pints in me by then. We hit about just under 160 which is good going with two people (both fat) on one bike.
