Dnk
My kind of boat excitement is something like the twin engined Scarab i was on in Miami a few years back Not sure the canal people would be too keen on one hooning round gas street basin etc
Havard
Maybe worth a look at the various DB9 ownership threads on pistonheads. Beautiful cars, but they do have their issues. Not a chance in hell. A 50k one would be enough trouble. Looked long and hard at a Vantage a couple of years ago and the replacement parts cost made me cry and I hadn't even bought the car. H. Chris Wilson
The problem with most low volume exotica is, expensive to buy new as they are, there's not a huge profit in them for the makers, so they screw you as much as they can on spares. Plus people like Honda probably spend more on developing the heating system in a Civic than they did on the whole DB9 chassis design. The customer ends up being a developer, it's just down to numbers expected to be sold. The DB9 is based on the dreadful old Jaguar XJS platform, one can only get so far when polishing a turd. The cost to be "different" to your fellow motorists can be considerable, conformity can be attractive
