Timlowthian
Hi all just wondering if there is a way you can check to see if an engine has UK turbos? Reason I ask is have just fitted a TT engine to my na which I presumed was a j spec because of the ECU. However after going to fit the decat I have it would appear to be far too small. Am I right in thinking the UK spec uses a larger diameter decat?
jza800
you can see it on the turbo.. if it is boltet to the manifold with 4 bolts = eu spec 3 bolts= j-spec does i have a maf sensor= eu spec if only map sensor = j-spec does i have a resister box in the intake side = eu spec if only igniter box =j-spec if it have the raised bump in left side on the top off the intake manifold = eu spec if the rasied bump is is the middel off the intake = j-spec if the engine have egr valves on the back off the intake = eu spec if not= j-spec or post a picture off the engine
Timlowthian
The engine itself is definitely a J-spec engine It was more the turbos I was wondering about. The 1st decat was just to small to bolt up.
Dim Sum
The UK spec 2nd decat has a three bolt flange rather than the 2 bolt flange
