I was therefore looking for electric garage door openers and was wondering if anyone has any recommendations? Kev.O Posted May 28, 2015 Share Posted May 28, 2015 I have a garamatic which I tried fitting to an old spring style canopy door. I couldn't get the door to fully retract and ended up replacing the door with a new retractable door. Make sure the opener works with the style of door you have, otherwise it could cost quite a lot to get it to work correctly. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
