foggy147
Hello, just wondered if anyone on here produces polycarbonate windows for cars? I am looking to have some made up for a 1989 Nissan 300zx z31 turbo. If this could be produced if you could pm me a cost that would be great. One company has advised they could do it but would need the glass for the templates but they are based in Bristol so a bit to far away and don't want to risk sending by courier. I am in the Warrington area if there is anyone local. Many thanks
pedrosixfour
Are the doors pillar/frame-less, like the Supra? What windows are you looking for, front screen, side windows, quarter lights, rear? The rear window and the quarter lights wouldn't be too difficult to make yourself out of a 4mm sheet of Lexan/polycarbonate. The side windows might be a bit trickier as they would be for a Supra as there is no frame to hold the polycarbonate to shape. However I'd personally make a frame, for each door, out of small round bar the exact shape & curvature of the inside of the original glass windows and just small enough to fit inside the door/window relief in the body itself. Add small tabs to the frame to bolt the windows to. Fix the new frame to the top of the door ledge and secure your flat polycarbonate windows to the body of the door, then bolt the windows to the new frames through the tabs and they will follow the same lines as the original windows. A sheet of Lexan costs about £100 in a civilised country like the UK I'd imagine.

berg
Was going to suggest ACW plastics as there are a third of the price of most places, used them on my track car and they are top quality But they are in Bristol so are probably the place youve already tried lol
