coza
Hi got a weird problem that's started happening, First of all I've got a jspec twin turbo 6 speed running 0.9 bar max boost When accelerating just as the 2nd turbos about to kick in the car looses boost and just runs at .5 so accelerating but not sharp as it should, but if I'm in 5th or 6th gear sometimes it kicks in sometimes it doesn't Anybody got any ideas ... What to check ? Cheers
themodifiedkid
Check that the IACV VSV is functioning as it should, there is a write up on here all about the sequential turbo system and all about the issues that often come with. There will be an explanation which I'm sure would help you.
Chris Wilson
Yes, check, or ideally renew the VSV's. They are all very old now, and do not last forever. Also check for pressure / vacuum leaks on all small hoses. If you have that blue none braided silicone *$#~@ as hoses, you are asking for trouble. Even more so when it's having to be held on with little tye wraps. You wouldn't have sex with a stranger using an Ebay condom held on with a tye wrap now, would you?
