foggy147
The Mrs is finally looking at upgrading her car, she currently has a 1litre 2002 Toyota Yaris which has served her very well in the last 10 years but she has decided it's the right time to look for something newer. Out of all the cars she really likes the Suzuki Swift 1.6 sport, she has a budget of approx 4k so will be looking for 2007/2008 models with decent mileage. Anyone got any experience of these? Reviews seem good, look to be reliable without costing the earth to run. She has no interest in the Mini Cooper S or Fiesta ST, she is not at all bothered about how much BHP the car has lol. Hobgoblin
My wife has the 2009 1.5 model, not the sport. We paid 3k a year ago with 50 odd thousand miles on it. She likes it, but it feels cheap to me, no tangible problems, just has a budget car feel.
bayside_supra
I used to sell these. They are great fun but the interior plastics can get very scuffed and horrible. I would almost look at the interior condition more then the exterior. Bulletproof reliability though very low maintenance these. Cool car try and find a white or red one they are the best colours. Whites the most desirable by far. They have no torque drive it like you stole it and you will have a blast.
pedrosixfour
Get the alignment checked before you buy as the "solid" rear beam axles are a poor design & prone to bending, which throws out the geo. The only solution is a new/straight axle & good used items are hard to come by. Speaking from experience. Cabin noise is another thing they suffer from, but no more than the Yaris really. Gaz6002
Interior feels a little old-fashioned but they're brilliant little cars! They'll never break and they're great fun but not too expensive to run either. I had one on a long-term loan for six months. One of the best I've had!
