Jake
EFI fuse number one and two. (Just number one might do it, I forget) Or disconnect the Igniter Pack, just as easy
uk-rich
igniter pack sounds best, but what is that exactly, and where under the hood does it live, and what does it look like
dangerous brain
Right hand side as you look from the front near the suspension mount in the engine bay. Its the oblong shape box that looks like a mini stereo amplifier.

Digsy
Surely if you kill the spark and crank for too long you'll wash the bores? Killing the injectors woud be better.

Jake
Theoretically, I suppose you're right Darren. Three to five seconds of cranking wouldn't do any damage ITRW though, would it? (Genuine question)
Digsy
Probably not. I ran my car for longer than that yesterday with one or two missing cylinders just to get it to start, but that was because I didn't have much choice otherwise at the time. If I had control over what I was doing, I'd pull the fuel, though.
Jake
Fair point. I only edited my post to add the Igniter Pack thing because I remembered that's how they did it when I had my last oil change at Max GT. Personally I don't do anything to prefill the filter when doing an oil change myself. (oh! the shame!)
