what exactly are you trying to do and why?

if it's for looks then don't bother. if it's for more power because you have fitted a turbo etc then i would have thought you what not need to ask such a question.

what is the car ie tt or na?

I am upgrading the car bit by bit and my next step is installing larger injectors, when I have upgraded the ECU. I have rebuilt the engine to take more power, so this is just part of a long transformation. The fuel rail has an in and an out on it, whereas my standard fuel rail has an in and a fuel pressure regulator, attached to the fuel return, which I presume that I will need whatever fuel rail I put on. I am not changing it now, I was just wondering what you are supposed to do with the fuel regulator.

as you don't answer questions put to you, i had a look at what car you have got.

TT correct.

the fuel rail you have got i assume is a top feed?

have you got the injectors you are going to use?

and when you say what are you supposed to do with the FPR do you mean the OEM one or a aftermarket one?

when the fuel rail is changed for a top feed you need to purchase a aftermarket fuel pressure regulator, which is fitted in the return line from the fuel rail.

i don't mean to be funny but you have rebuilt your engine and have to ask how to do basic fuel plumbing.

i will still help you where i can.

but if i was you i would fit ecu first and get car running right with that. then fit injectors as the ecu will have to be remapped once injectors are fitted.

Yes but the fuel rail kits that I have looked at do not mention having to purchase a different fuel regualtor, nor do they supply one with a 'kit', that is why I asked the question. And yes, ECU is the next thing I am going to do, I was just interested in where the regulator went.

But thanks for your answers anyway. I will return to this once the ECU is installed.
