RedM
Hi ya, Not sure if this is your exact field of expertise or not but maybe you can point me in the right direction. The road I live on has no parking restrictions and isn't a private road. Both my cars are taxed, insured and MOT'd. Usually I park both cars on our driveway. Tonight I needed extra room to polish the Supe (turned out lovely, btw) so I parked our other car on the road in front of our neighbours house. It was at least a car length from his drive and obscured from view by his very big hedge. Anyways, he came out and looked up the road and asked me if I was leaving my car their all night. I told him not to worry, I had no intention of leaving it on the road. He said he wasn't worried and that, if I didn't move it, he would 'sort it out'. Now, I'm not worried really because he must be at least 70! So, unless he decides to vandalise the cars whilst on our drive I will sleep easy. What I would like to know is, aside from the good neighbour aspect, is there any legal reason for me not leaving my car there. I reckon that, if I wanted to be a PITA about it, I could leave it there and there isn't a thing he could do about it. Am I right? Thanks, Martin PS. Sorry about the length of the thread and thanks for taking the time to read it.

Sharpie
Just my 2p Yes, you are right he can do nothing...old git! It's a public road, you have all the right bits (Tax, MOT etc...) so, as long as there is no traffic type "restrictions" yellow lines etc.... you are fine to park where you please. Class One
Yep there's no probs leaving it there. F**k him! Moaning old git!
Elliot
Sounds like a stupid old busybody who thinks the public road outside his house belongs to him because he happens to live near it. Did you ask him exactly how he was going to 'sort it out'? Leave it there over night just to piss him off.
RedM
Cheers fella. I take I wouldn't even get an s59 thingy if he whined to the local very, very nice men in uniform then? I'll not antagonise him though. I moved here for the quiet life.

Class One
No you wouldn't get a sec 59 notice. Some people just don't like others parking in front of their house I guess. There's no pleasing them. But there;s no worries about parking it there.

We should do that. I'd proably never hear the end of it but to see him raging impotently would be great.
