Apple iMac 12.2/ 27''/ i5-2400/12GB Ram/1TB HDD/DVD-RW Apple Processor Type: Intel Core i5 2nd Gen. Product Family: iMac Processor Speed: 3.10GHz Release Year: 2011 Memory: 12GB Screen Size: 27" running the latest version of OS X Yosemite being a 12.2 i presume it has the thunderbolt connections on it also. any input would be good thanks Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

ellis Posted May 13, 2015 Share Posted May 13, 2015 Yep, that's a decent price. You're right, the new ones have no DVD drive which is a bit of a pain. I run an old style iMac and a new style one and in terms of speed, the older one still holds it's own. The speeds are quite marginal between the two. What are you looking to use it for - is it just general stuff? If you're going to be playing with Photoshop or/and InDesign etc then I'd whack some more RAM in there - cheap still from Mr Memory - both mine run 32GB RAM for that reason. I'd also buy an external Hard Drive to use for back-up (Time Machine) as I have had internal drives die over the years. Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
