as above, and could also possibly be wheel balance, deformed tyre, buckled wheel. don't think it would be, have you checked tyre pressures.

you could jack up car, get some to run car to 55 mph whilst you check for all above?

just make sure it's on axle stands both sides of the car!

Does it get worse with engine speed or road speed?

To check the prop, support it on axle stands out of gear and give it a twist. If there's play when you twist it, it's likely to be a universal joint. Try to wobble it up and down, if there's play there it's likely a prop bearing.

I don't know supras too well but am familiar with this kind of drive train.

As mentioned above check brakes aren't seized on? If they are j spec or na brakes you wanna check the sliding pins on the calipers, free them off and grease up accordingly.

Very difficult to diagnose on here, it could be one of any number of things, wheels, wheel bearing, tyres, brakes, transmission, suspension, etc. I would start by getting the tyres balanced, if that makes no difference then I'd get the car on a ramp and given a thorough going over underneath by an experience mechanic.

Thanks Allan there is a wee bit of moment up and down and in twist but what amount of movement should be allowed thanks edd

Is it free play or are you just taking up the slack in the diff when you twist? Check the flange on the front of the diff housing if you can see it. If it doesn't move as much as you are moving the prop then that could be your issue!

Oh forgot to ask if it goes away when you come off the gas? Or is it just when you have the power on?
