Cigarette lighter wiring.

I'm trying to sort out why my cig lighter doesn't work and also maybe why my dash lights don't work.

As seems to be the case with most supras I own it's a bloody rats best of wires and I don't really know what I'm looking at.

I have the L shaped plug with a blue/red and white/black wire going into it.

The white/black one has a connector on it which just connects to more white/black. Like it should have something else in there

The blue/red splits 2 times. Once into a pink cable that seems to join another set of 4 cables. One of which disappears down the passenger footwell. The other end goes behind the dash cluster somewhere.

This set of wires has a blue wire. This one is just not connected.

The other split goes to a green wire about 4 inches long. Also not connected.

Any ideas?

Looks like things have been tapped into it, gauges maybe?

Sounds stupid but have you checked the fuse in the drivers footwell?

When i blew my cig lighter fuse, it took dash lights, and also my boost gauge (which is tapped into the cig wiring)

It all runs off the same circuit

yeah forgot to mention. fuses are fine. guages are fine and all light up. just no cig lighter power or guage cluster lights :S

Have put the dash back together now as its dragonball in a few days. But want to get it sorted at some point. I might have the dash appart again tomorrow anyway as i haven't had any air from my right side airvent since i remove the guage from it. must have been blocked off.
