Supra crash at Vmax?

Don't know all the ins and outs of the details, but had a friend at Vmax over the weekend who was racing his stage 1 tuned A45 AMG and he was saying there was a white Supra there with .massive rear tyres and big bonnet vents that binned it going down the runway.

Anyone on here?

Hope all involved are ok and car is repairable!

Vijay's all safe and sound resting at home.

It was very unfortunate. Just glad everyone was safe and sound.

The GPS speed was over 220 and still pulling, we will probably know the exact speed once we checked the SD Card.

Tyres were R888's, no idea as to why it came off the rim, but thank God that it wasn't as bad as it could have been.

Blimey, R888's are only rated to 168mph, any reason for not running M/T ET Streets Darrett? Could have been very bad.

Very lucky guy and might be the fact a 888 is only rated to 94w speed rateing which is only 168 mph so over 220mph is 50mph over there rated speed im not surprised they let go,

There designed for grip on tack not top speed runs,

Glad all are ok tho and a real shame about the car,
