LOGIE
Has anyone sold a car since the new road tax laws came in? I sold a car last week with 5 months tax remaining. Obviously the new owner had to tax it. What I want to know is how do I get refunded? Do DVLA send a cheque or postal order? Or do they just refund into the account that paid it in first place? Cheers folks. TheTurtleshead
DVLA send you a cheque for the amount of full months remaining.
LOGIE
Cheers dude. I'm not keen to get my mits on it. Just didn't want DVLA getting away with it if I was supposed to apply for a refund....cause I'm lazy with paperwork.
Benjy
DVLA send you a cheque for the amount of full months remaining. Robbing barstewards! Surely, if they can work out how many months they owe you, it wouldn't be too much efford the calculate the days!
Havard
Just waiting for ours now. I have had to write to them though.

Scott
It didn't annoy me SO much with the paper tax disc, now that the whole thing is electronic it's ridiculous though. However, they aren't going to change what probably earns them millions per year...... are they? Our cheque came through within a few days.
