Scott
As a sidenote, "ED" isn't for our fellow member, it stands for Extremely Dangerous as it's upwards of 8% and got me in trouble at Christmas

Scott
Where do you get the labels? Could do with some for DB. I just print them off bud. You stick them to the bottles using semi-skimmed milk brushed on. That way, when it dries it sticks..... but when you get them wet they fall off. Works a treat. Can i drive up and taste it haha Course

dangerous brain
I've never had any success with cider, was always extremely sharp by the time it finished brewing or vinegary if I barrelled it up before it stopped.
Scott
Sharp and vinegary tastes are generally a sign of infection. I had similar issues myself at the start, in fact it took me 5 attempts over 5 years to get it right. Ironically it was this very cider kit, On the rocks Pear Cider, that I had my first proper success with. I started off with king kegs and all that nonsense, the end result.... and the most success I continue to have, are using simple buckets. Knowing the recipe is one thing, takes a lot of practice to get it right. Costs a few bob for the kit too
