krisgowing
Unfortunately my Supra didn't come with any service history So first things first I'm going for a full service. Use to take the BMW to the local garage to someone I knew but wondered where you guys take your to service. Do you go for local garages? Do you go for tuner specialists? Do you go to Toyota? Any advice and help is appreciated Thanks, Kristian:)
Dnk
A local garage is good enough as long as they are good mechanics, mine does pretty much everything i need on any car i own and for very sensible price Why pay Toyota rates or specialist rates, waste of money in my opinion for routine work. Gaz6002
No - you need a reliable source of expert help and it's worth travelling for that. Yes. No - unless you want to spend all of your money very quickly indeed. I'd use Fensport if I were you since they're not far. Located in Warboys. krisgowing
Thanks for the advice. I've got a rough quote for £195 + parts and vat from http://www.enginetuning.net/index.php which is a tuning specialist near me. You think that's reasonable it's only the second time I've serviced the car. Thanks, Kristian.

ripped_fear
What are they doing on it for that price? If you have no service history at all I would do cam belt, oil and filter, plugs, gearbox fluid, diff fluid, brake fluid, clutch fluid, at a minimum. Millage depending maybe worth doing crank pulley, aux belt and other bits and pieces. I used to use Toyota but tbh I would rather find a garage I trust for work such as servicing. I tend to source my own fluids and parts too then just pay labour

supra_ufo
Im doing my own but keeping receipts and documenting services in my build thread, i also stole a service book from my local garage which shows services and next MOT so I am filling that in too. MattP
I service the brothers Supra.. Other mechanics don't clean things as they go and usually damage things.. Well that and I hate people generally.
Dnk
Some so called specialist are just rip off merchants, a member on here bought his car to me as he had a problem with it. We took it to my local village garage and the work was done for a fraction of the cost he was quoted by the specialist ! They used to be a trader on here so careful where you pick to work on your P & J I'll stick with my local who looked after my BPU UK spec for 13 years and never had a problem.
