Gaz B Posted May 7, 2015 Share Posted May 7, 2015 As per the title. I've done some checking around and it seem the joins are seeping oil. I have pics.. You can see the join. That's to the rest of the tunnel. By the sump plug^ The front under bell housing ^ After the car had been running, the oil collecting ^ The join just past the sump plug ^ All the bolts are tight, but the underside of my car is covered. Lol!! cant say ive done that. should it not be the gearbox, what else could it be? Ive checked the dipstick regularly and the engine oil is still saying just off full. A mystery... Joking aside, I taste watery leaks to tell if it's water, coolant or screenwash. I wouldn't know what gearbox oil tastes like, so I'd have to dab a bit on my finger from the bottle first. Have you taken the level plug out and checked? Most Getrags have the genuine Toyota stuff in it, which is redder than that in the photo. Are you *SURE* it's not engine oil?
