nuttynutz
hoping someone can help me. Car: VW SHARAN VR6 AUTO R-reg Right the problem is, (faulty switch, allocated just behind the brake pedal) this switch allows the gearstick to engage a gear (move). this switch works when the brake is applied to release the gearstick to move from P. question is, how do i replace it, i have unpluged the pin from it (2pin connector) thought i just pull it out after, but cant, try to twist it anticlockwise, moves about 5degrees, but is then stoped by this metal beam which supports the steering wheel . any VW speciallist here? Thanks Ollie ps: any vw forums, might need to ask them
Vagnum
VW speciallist, that will be me then mate i work for VW :thumbdown it should twist and then pull out the switch has two side bits on it so it will only come out of the pedal box one way try to turn it the other way, seeing how the switch is not working anyway why not just break it out, shame it's not the 4 pin switch i've got 2 sitting here
