Jamesy
So we've been looking for a fun campervan to take the kids away and have a laugh in ..... the T2 VW's are ridiculous money so we started on the lookout for a decent T25 - they seem to be going up in value similar to the trend of the T2's so hopefully this will end up being a decent purchase. Anyway I managed to find one that's been well looked after and has a few trick bits like alloys, leather seats, lowered suspension and high top to sleep 2 more. Definitely not everyone's cuppa tea but absolutely perfect for us and the kids.... We've already had 4 friends ask if they can hire it for a weekend/week away so we may even offer it out for hire in the future Roll on summer and BBQ's!! Jamesy
So to continue my general theme around cars, I wanted to get the camper lower than it already was lowered. The springs I had made the front sit down about 25mm more than the rear so I wanted to get the arse end down. My springs were 55mm drop so we went for 55mm drop springs but from a T4 - these are alighter van so the springs are weaker which should have infact lowered the rear a bit more.... it didn't https://scontent-lhr3-1.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-xpf1/v/t1.0-9/1551733_836563023103720_6049238765029114615_n.jpg?oh=82a35047cad229938e60b56dc7fddc9e&oe=55F1F85C So unless you go for air-bags (I wish!) im going to try out a T4 coilover spring setup - these look pretty basic and funky and can lower it by up to 80mm and a bit more if you get the 2mm shims to replace the standard ones. Hopefully get it back in to be swapped over end of the month!
