hey folks, i got a new leather grip from my local toyota dealer and ive had a look to see how i go about replacing it.

do i have to cut and re-join the o/d wires or am i missing something on how i get it out.

if there is already a thread on how to do this can someone point me in the right direction.

cheers

The wires slide out of the od button cant remember exactly but i worked this out after i broke mine, its in a small black cradle that the contacts slide in theres a little push clip to press iirc then it slides out,

Sounds more like it...

Sounds like Toyota took the easy option then. The wires do unclip , but theres lots of clips which keep the wires safe from rubbing on the auto shifter to undo and you have to be careful when routing the wires they don't catch like they did when I did the job.Not something I'd relish doing again.
