Brake fluid?

How old is your brake fluid ?

Brake fluid attracts moisture over the years

hence it boils when it gets hot and you lose brake performance.

DOT 5 is Silicon based and won't mix with DOT 3,4 or 5.1 and might cause problems

to seals etc in a Glycol designed system.

Use DOT 5.1, it's Glycol based which is what your system was designed to use.

Completely replace your old fluid by bleeding the whole system, i use a vacuum

bleeder which works a treat.

If you want to spend more money then have a look at Motuls RBF 600 or 660

MOTUL RBF 600 and 660 (DOT4) has better dry and wet boiling points than normal

DOT 4 and DOT 5.1
