JamieP
Anyone tried these over HID's? http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2x-HB3-9005-High-Power-COB-LED-Light-White-7600lm-60W-HeadLight-Daytime-Fog-Bulb-/161686419279?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&fits=Model%3ASupra&hash=item25a542f74f And what ones do I need for the rear lights? gordy.r
I think Drift Bear tried some recently and reverted back to his HID's as they Were that poor, not too sure which kit or bulbs it was he had in.
mattdavies
LED headlights are shocking. Rear light wise, I could make you some Toxic Tail style rears if you have spare rear lights
JamieP
I like the stock rear lights, was just thinking maybe LED bulbs. Ok what's the best HID kit to get? Any links?

Abz
Tried LED's in my fog lights as the stock lights looked yellow against the HID's and they are very poor output. Look nice when you flash people but poor output. Can not remember where I got might, believe it was a group buy 3 years ago off someone on the forum. Not sure if there's a difference between the 35w and 55w but I went with them anyway.
mattdavies
This place I'm guessing? http://www.aetonline.co.uk Yeh, easy enough to get for you and think you get a year on the bulbs and 2 on the ballasts
Nic
I've been considering getting a set of these, I spent a bit of time comparing what was available on Ebay and Aliexpress and purely based on the sales blurb and spec they seemed like one of the better ones. Might be worth contacting jagman, I remember he seemed quite knowledgeable about LED headlight bulbs. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/2X-CREE-Chips-LED-Headlight-36W-H1-H3-H4-H7-H8-H9-H11-H10-9005-9006-9004-9007-/131469799721?pt=LH_DefaultDomain_3&hash=item1e9c35f129
gordy.r
What are the legalities of HID's on older cars? I've heard rumours of them being MOT failures and I know our local constabulary have told people to revert back to original installs or face a ticket/fine.... I can understand it completely in non-projector headlamps. The lights they are retro fitted to MUST be projector lenses or they just dazzle oncoming drivers, it's horrible to have one coming at you on a b-road. Other than that I believe the only ruling is self levelling if the vehicle was produced after a certain year. The Supra should be fine in all regards as the law currently stands. Projector lenses and made prior to the cut off date.

a98pmalcolm
NOOOO TO LED REAR BULBS!!!! I tried at it doesn't work The indicators flash VERY quick and ended up buzzing. Now have chrome bulbs and the problem is sorted. The reverse LED is A LOT dimmer than the stock bulb (in dark couldn't even see were I was reversing) The only L.E.D thing that worked and I kept was the fog light. My thread from a few months back http://www.mkivsupra.net/vbb/showthread.php?320166-Fitted-leds-to-replace-stock-bulbs-Never-mind There is other way around it but the outcome with stock rear lights and having l.e.d.s just isn't worth it. And the onse I used just weren't as bright as bulbs Edited April 30, 2015 by a98pmalcolm (see edit history)

Al Massey
Yea you need to put load resistors on the indicator loom to stop the fast flashing, my led reversing bulbs are very white and bright compared to the old yellow stock ones Or a relay that costs tuppence. I have full LED rears, LED sidelight and indicators and LED side indicators. All work perfectly fine and as bright/brighter as normal lights

Ric
As Al says. You only need to replace the indicator relay to a LED friendly one. Takes 2 seconds to fit, and no messing about with resistors, you can get them from China for like £2 but the link below is UK stock, next day http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/191508819403?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT All my lights were flashing quickly as i have LED's all round, and heckler rears, this solved it. Bulbs i bought where: Side repeaters - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/300635570487?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Front facelift indicators - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/310209027493?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT Facelift front sidelights - http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/290679263260?_trksid=p2057872.m2749.l2649&ssPageName=STRK%3AMEBIDX%3AIT As i have heckler rears i didnt do the rear lights!
