CardiffSupra
Any Farmers forums? they are always good for protest on fuel!
The Pink Lady
If you want a "Bigger Impact" you would be better blockading one of the large Refineries (although 70% of the fuel is now pumped out), or working with Farmers and Road Haulage companies who have a vested interest in this type of action Radical action is the ONLY way that the Government will listen and it has to be sustained and supported by large amount of people or we end up back where you started a couple of months back. supra steveo
just an idea but if you wanted to make an impact on life do a 10mph drive down the A14 to ipswich, because every other vehicle is an a truck with a 40 foot trailer and at the end of the A14 is the port might screw up truck drivers, but hey they get paid by the hour and you will be disrupting exporting good out of the country thus loosing money for the country just like the last time the truck drivers went on strike, and i am sure it will not go un-noticed like wise you could do this at all the other large docks in the country block off or drive down the main supply routes at 10 mph well theres my 2p of ideas

tbourner
Well there's another blockade planned for next wednesday according to the news this morning. So that'll be good, it worked last time so hopefully that along with our public's letter to the PM we can get some action. On that note, what's the plan for the letter? Who's going to write it? We need to mention quite a lot in it, the fact that public transport is slow, uncomfortable, untrustworthy and nowadays bloody dangerous!! I don't want to be happy slapped on the way to work!! Also why are they taxing a neccesity other than revenue raising? The country NEEDS to use vehicles, it would crumble within a week with no internal combustion engine use at all!!! Even if they set up a points scheme whereby you get more points the further away you live from work/shops etc. and more points if you need to travel for you job. The more points you have the cheaper your fuel is. Maybe we could set up a spreadsheet of several different peoples daily travel, the ammount it costs at the moment per week and the ammount it would cost (including time costs) using public transport or riding a bike (that'll be an interesting plot for a courier or travelling salesman!!).
