scottybennoch
Hi all. I have a red na supra with 65k miles on. The car has been standing for a long period of time. The cars feels like it drives perfect. The car has no mot and the paint work would need some work and in general the car just needs some tlc. I am thinking of selling the car and was just wondering what i could expect to get for the car as is and what i could expect for it if i had it mot'd . Thanks for any help and advice. Graham1984
Get some more photos up. It does look a bit tatty under the bonnet though IMO.

j_jza80
Manual or auto? Has the car been in a flood or something? Never seen a Supra engine bay that bad before, and what you can see of the front wheel looks similar.
scottybennoch
It is a manual. No not been in a flood but has been stood for a long time.
Zeiretto
Get it cleaned up and it'll fetch around £2500 if it's mechanically good.

scottybennoch
Is it worth getting it mot'd for peace of mind??
Graham1984
I would. At least you and the prospective buyer will know what's what.

scottybennoch
I will get it mot'd and see whats what! I am very tempted to keep and put a tt conversion in it. Would the 5 speed manual handle a bpu tt? Also of i was to do this what do n/a engines fetch?
j_jza80
Is that an 8 series BMW I can see lurking? Would be a good base for some NA tuning. Buy a cheap VVTi NA engine and swap the conrods over, ITB's, cams, headwork, free flowing exhaust etc.
scottybennoch
Haha no its a 3 series. Our family car.
parasight
Buy a cheap VVTi NA engine and swap the conrods over, ITB's, cams, headwork, free flowing exhaust etc. Why the conrods specifically?
j_jza80
The VVTi NA conrods are smaller and lighter than the pre VVTi ones. Not so great for turbocharging, but ideal for a high revving NA build, and much cheaper than buying a set of aftermarket ones
scottybennoch
I would rather have a tt engine put in tbh because that is my aim. If needs be i will sell this supra and go on the hunt for another.
Hitbox Junkie
Drop a TT in it and a 6speed as your already manual . The 5speed can handle bpu but on,y if you shift nicely To the op get it tidy and an mot and your see 3k easy
scottybennoch
I am very tempted! Going to get it mot'd this week and see what happens.
