Types of Ignition Retard ?

I'm familiar with rev limit ignition retard but how does wrc type retarding work when they let go of the throttle

turbo keeps spooling i'm guessing the vacuum area is being retarded and any other types of retarding if anyone knows ?

thats anti lag what your asking about ,

In a nut shell they retard by around 40 degrees which then ignites the fuel mix with the exhaust valve open which sends the combustion explostion through the turbo and exhaust system keeping it spinning , this is obviously not good for your daily run about and life of turbo for obvious reasons

so i'm guessing certain areas in vacuum has lower values than the idle area in ignition map ? say below ~100kpa car idles at ~30kpa at ~10degBtdc ~800rpm so normally i guess it would be 35 ~ 40degBtdc below ~30kpa but when aiming for wrc type antilag to keep the turbos spooling at 3000~6000rpm below ~100kpa they retard the ignition by ~40degrees ?
