Graham1984
As above really. My dad got another car yesterday but the previous owners dog has left quite a few hairs in the rear seats. He's used a lint roller and hoover to try and gather some up which has worked, but where the dog was a bulldog he had quite small fine hair that has bedded in quite well. Has anyone got any ideas of something that can be picked up quickly to try and tackle it.
stevie_b
I've never tried it, but how about gaffer tape applied briefly to the seat, and then pulled off (like getting your legs waxed)? You must have loads of tape in the dungeon.
ellis
^ That really - get some strong tape, wrap it round your hand and pat the seats to pull the hair off. After having cats and dogs over the years, this works very well.
Graham1984
Tried that didn't work sadly.

Dim Sum
Go a pet store and buy a dog hair removal brush.
Scooter
common car? breakers for a 'new' set, doubt a set of cloth rear seats are much?
Graham1984
Fire then, that's all there is left I'll suggest that too him
ShawnPreece
to save the effort you could just get the seats leather trimmed as they are
Dnk
I wonder what else is in or on the seats, hair is possibly the least of your worries
Gaz6002
I usually find things like this can be fixed with a hammer.
Supra Size Me
Dog hair (one of the stickiest things known to mankind) was responsible for the invention of Velcro ! Source:Wikipedia De Mestral first conceptualized Velcro after returning from a hunting trip with his dog in the Alps in 1941.[3][4][5] After removing several of the burdock burrs (seeds) that kept sticking to his clothes and his dog's fur, he became curious as to how it worked. As previously mentioned burn it with fire !
David P
Get a dog the same colour as your seats.
Big Supes
Try putting on some marigolds and wiping them down, collecting all the fur together.
craig85
The brush style lint rollers tend to be much more effective on animal hair than the sticky ones in my experience.
ShawnPreece
Just beware if your using a sticky roller not to press to hard, could end up like this otherwise..... you never know how much of the dog is there
Chris Wilson
I find having a car full of dog hairs, corn, oily rags and other detritus is great for deterring people asking "Could you just give me a lift to...." A car without dog hairs is a car owned by a callous man. Even when I had a showroom mint 18K miler Bentley the dogs came along in it, much to the previous owners horror

gordy.r
I have a similar problem, bought a car who's previous owner transported the mutt in the boot and the fabric lining of the boot is awash with fine light dog hair. I've even had our brand new Dyson DC57 Animal (meant especially for animal hair and other random offering they leave in their wake) and even that wasn't cutting it. I'm all ears to these suggestions as well, but alas I too fear fire is the only way ahead....
