Burning oil and not kicking down

First question would be, if the turbos/engine arent operating properly will this cause the gearbox to not kick down or operate properly?

Been out in car today and it puffs blue smoke out on over run quite badly, today its also started to puff it out on light revs on the spot aswell

Under hard acceleration there is no smoke at all until i let off

Also noticed today the gearbox wont kick down properly and feels dead slow

Gearbox Was fine last night when switched off but today has the problem

Noticed the smoking last few weeks

Turbo seals?

Any ideas?

normally when the throttle is let off and then back on the throttle it smokes is a sign of valve stem seals, and most times when left long enough on start up it smokes for a short time. i would think the turbo pressure has nothing to do with kickdown control.

because the inlet valve stem seals are after the throttle body they are subject to high vacuum on the overrun, if the seals are worn/ gone hard it can suck oil down past the valve stem seals and when back on the throttle burns the oil giving the blue smoke.

Its on over run in general though not when when i go back on the throttle

If i go back on throttle it doesnt do it again until i let off again

I originally though valve stems as it puffs a small amount on cold start but im not sure now i will post a vid

This is over a minute long and after the dyno pull it puffs out right to the end of the video as the throttle is blipped

i would still say valve stem seals after looking at that video. when i say back on the throttle i should have added that it smokes for a short time as the oil is burnt, but as you are now back on the throttle the vacuum would be less or even a positive pressure if your into boost, so it can't pull oil down the valve seal and the smoking could stop.

i would also check the pcv valves and breather pipes, as it won't help the situation if it is stem seals, as with the breathers blocked it would pressurise and force oil down seals. but i don't think it is a breather problem. can't hurt to check?
