The Raven
I used the car all day yesterday and had no issues, I took it out late last night and noticed the revs dipping slighly every 6 seconds ish. I took it up the road and under heavy load its still coming in then going then coming on again sometimes it does not do it at all. I suspect plugs to be the issue? Does this sound about right? No warning lights or stored codes.
lewysdanny
Mate, I had a similar thing going on with my first mkiv Supra TT Auto and with mine it had a stutter on tick over as well as on acceleration . I changed the core pack clips and it resolved the problem , it turned out not to be the plugs but the core pack clips ( £17 ) delivered for 6 . If it turns out not to be the clips I,ve got a 2nd hand set of core plugs that I bought as spare set , you can have them for the price I paid £80 pp . But before you do anything check the core pack clips , and if they do need replacing its only £17 .
The Raven
Cheers mate, I got new clips put on 3000 miles ago so i dont think it will be them. So i guess its down to plugs and coil packs?
mrboomberang
How's it on start up does it always make the same noise as in d d d d d vroom sorry about the start noise ?
The Raven
It starts fine, and sometimes it will sit fine, but then the revs drop for a second, then pop back up then dip. Under load its worse.

GTR Fever
Glad you got it sorted. I have a similar issue but I'm guessing mine is the plug connectors as they are in pieces. New plugs installed so we will see how it goes.
chrispot
Was a plug, first one was cracked and knackered, Col and mike came over and its all ticky boo where was it cracked, if its on the centre electrode, detonation could cause a plug to crack. if not no worries if yes be alert. regards chris
themodifiedkid
It wasn't on the electrode as I would have been a bit concerned. It was the ceramic part of the plug that sits inside the coil pack:)
