boostman
Just bought some number plate pods and was thinking I'd give them a refurb! Has anyone done their's? Was thinking painting them gloss black or possibly vinyl wrap them if possible? Any thoughts or advice? kitch79
When I bought mine, they were silver, I thought it would be an easy quick job to sand back etc. it was a pain! But, after getting them smoooooth, I under coated and sprayed gloss black, much better than the stock Matt plastic look imo.

I have a sand blaster at work I could use to 'prepare them '
kitch79
I don't believe so. However I was standing away old paint, so if it was I'd probably not see it. But I sure it's just plain plastic. I spent much longer than needed sanding with ultra fine s.paper, so that my final black gloss needed less, although I still went ott on that. Never used a sand blaster before, but be careful it doesn't blast the plastic rough [emoji15]
boostman
OK I'll have a look later, the sand blaster is quite delicate if you hold it far enough away!
